The World Tamil Badminton Federation was founded by Kandiah Singam in Switzerland. It started in April 2013, where the first committee was formed from the players and well-wishers from all over the participant countries. These countries included the UK, Switzerland, France and Canada. Today the committee has grown and now also includes those from Germany, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Finland, India, Malaysia and the USA.
